Profile: Musa Juma

Musa juma was born in Kenya, Nyanza Province, Siaya District, Uranga Division, Nyadorera Location on 06th dec 1970. Juma grew up in Homabay District where he also attended school, both primary and secondary level. Musa Juma started out on the road of music aged 10 at the inspiration of Franco Luambo Makiadi the Congo legend. Despite his tender age, he started playing guitar, his favorite pastime, with the belief that he would one day be a musician.

Upon completing high school in 1985, he ventured in to the business field, dealing in general merchandise, this was temporary. He later realized this was not his field and decided to join Solar Africa band to do what he knew best; play music. He was the lead gitarist-singer-cum-composer until 1992 when he broke up to form Orchestra Limpopo International band.

Much of the excitement of Musa Juma s live show is caught in the recent live vcd album by the name Marcelina, widely available on Limpopo productions. Whenever Musa Juma takes on stage tremendous crowd noise and excitement is a jubilant and somewhat rowdy affair that really passport to the historic concert, the crowd significantly in gay abandoned dance in ecstasy frenzy and adoration to his richly entertaining & educative music. Musa Juma has quite simply cut a niche for himself in the international Audience.
